A cartridge mechanical seal is an “off-the-shelf”, completely self-contained design requiring no assembly prior to installation. The operating position of the seal faces are preset, eliminating detailed, exacting measurements and possible damage or contamination during the installation process.
These high-performance mechanical seals have a unique modular cassette design that combines advanced seal technology with flexibility in maintenance and repair. Both the single and dual tandem seals utilize a common seal gland.
Useful in processes that cannot tolerate ANY product contamination or escape into the atmosphere. They are also useful for processes or materials that are sensitive to heat that typical mechanical seal faces generate.
Ideal for high temperature and harsh chemical applications where standard elastomers cannot be used effectively. They are an excellent choice for applications where the process fluid is incompatible with common elastomers or where the cost of custom o-rings may be prohibitive.
